Natalie from Philobiblon has gathered together an incredible array of blog posts for the inaugural Carnival of Feminists. The carnival aims to showcase the "finest feminist posts from around the blogosphere".
Natalie's been doing wonderful work for several months now with her Friday round-up of blogs by women, in response to that old chestnut, 'where are all the female bloggers?' Turns out that we're here in our thousands, it's just that the male powers-that-be don't tend to read us, resulting in that other old chestnut, invisibility. But not any more, if we can help it!
Personal Political will be hosting the second Carnival of Feminists in a couple of weeks time. I'll post calls for nominations next week, but if you have any that you want to share straightaway, please do! (You can email me at: susoz.au at gmail dot com.) In the meantime, keep an eye out for feminist posts, jot down the URLs and devote some time to reading and enjoying the first Carnival.
An unrelated point. That 'cool long-sleeved Indian cotton top' you mentioned a few posts back is called a kurta (cooh-r-thah). If it's the shorter (than thigh-length) version it is called the diminutive kurti

Link accomplished. I'm very much looking forward to the next Carnival and if I write something sensible by then I'll submit it.
