These artworks by Chris Jordan about the volume of stuff consumed in the US are quite astonishing. It's mainly (not solely) by virtue of our much smaller population that Australians can afford to feel even slightly superior, statistically speaking. Thinking about all those plastic bags, etcetera, is mind boggling and profoundly dispiriting.
