Okay, that's it. No way am I going to vote for the NSW Labor Party at the next election, after faultless father of four Morris Iemma announced that it's inappropriate for a daycare centre to have books on the premises which feature two mothers.
I'm glad to see Green Mayor Sam Byrne label this 'hysteria', which is the appropriate word.
I think it's unfortunate that David Scammell of the Gay Rights Lobby continued to use words like "lesson', 'educational material' and 'taught' (although he used these in a very reasonable, moderate way and perhaps those words were put into his mouth by the reporter.)
They're story books. They're not textbooks. I think by using words like "educational material" you fall into the trap that been set by the tabloid press: OUR TWO YEAR OLDS ARE BEING TAUGHT (INDOCTRINATED) ABOUT GAY RIGHTS!! SHOCK HORROR!
PS: Here's the Telegraph's usual self righteousness in today's editorial. I would love to go a few rounds with whoever wrote that.
