I'm impressed - a new site (co-site to Australian blogs) lists Australian podcasts. Clearly, I need to get with the times and get a pod. (I did buy an iPod Shuffle which is useless, it only worked for a week.)

I hope that you returned it and got your money back. Our Nano has been wonderful.

You know, you don't need an iPod or any sort of MP3 player to listen to podcasts :)

CW, to tell the truth, I didn't know that. I thought podcasts were downloaded onto an MP3 player so you could listen to them away from the computer. I just read up on podcasts at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting and see that in fact I could receive and listen to them via iTunes (which I have on my Mac.)
As with most technical innovations, there's a part of me which thinks 'when would I have the time to do any of this?' but I also know that no doubt at some point in the future I'll find a use for podcasts.
Cristy, more confessions, I still haven't taken the iPod back. I'm horribly prone to that kind of inertia (or procrastination, as noted in the ABC meme).

Yep - you can stick a downloaded podcast onto an iPod or other MP3 player of you choice if you want, but that's only if you want to listen to it while out and about, or something. I personally don't tend to listen to podcasts on my iPod because I focus too much on what's being said and do strange things like miss my stop or walk into a lamp post... It's safer listening while nicely seated at my computer :)

Ironic that you have posted this since I only just recently started downloading podcasts into iTunes.

Very behind on the reading here. I love podcasts. I listen to them when I'm by myself in the car.
I found a great work related one which is coincidentally about as long as my travel time to work. I also listen to knitting and quilting related ones for pleasure. They're a fantastic idea there are just so many that you have to take the time to find the ones that "gel" for you.
