What can Australian MPs do to help a peaceful resolution of Iran's political and strategic crisis?
This meeting will explore the political issues in contemporary Iran. Prof Amin Saikal is an academic specialist in this field and has just returned from a conference in Europe on Iran and the nuclear issue. Sylvia Hale will report back on her attendance at a recent international conference on women in Iran. Mr Sadgepour and Mr O. Donnell will discuss the human rights situation in Iran and its links to the nuclear crisis and their hopes for a peaceful resolution to the issues facing Iran.
